In conjunction with the 10th Asianalysis, a session for the young analytical chemists in Asia, i.e. AYACS, will be held on August 10, 2009. The main purpose of this session is to serve as an icebreaker so that young people could exchange ideas and discuss the latest developments in analytical sciences. AYACS has been held almost annually in conjunction with JAIMA show (http://www.jaimashow.jp/2009/english/index.html) as well as conferences such as the CJK (China-Japan-Korea) Joint Symposium on Environmental Analysis and the Tokyo Conference for the past five years, but we have very few participants especially from countries other than China, Japan and Korea. Therefore, it is our hope that more young analytical chemists from all over Asia could join this session in Malaysia, and together we shall learn and grow to be leaders to serve our nations and societies.

Publication
The Organizers will publish full papers of ASIANALYSIS X in a special edition of the Malaysian Journal of Chemistry (MJC) in January 2010. Those presenters interested to publish are requested to submit their papers to ASIANALYSIS X Secretariat latest by August 10, 2009 or during ASIANALYSIS X. Format of the paper may be found in the IKM website at www.ikm.org.my.
Alternatively, those interested to publish in the Malaysian Journal of Analytical Sciences are required to submit their papers to Persatuan Sains Analisis Malaysia (ANALIS) at email: analis@ukm.my. Format for submission of the paper may be found on ANALIS website at www.ukm.my/mjas. The deadlines for the submission are the same as those of the Malaysian Journal of Chemistry.

Best poster awards
A number of excellent posters will be chosen by the committee members and a token of appreciation will be awarded to each winners.

Registration
All participants of Asianalysis X are eligible to join/attend this symposium. Those who wish to present papers in the poster session must state clearly that it is for “AYACS 2009” and submit their abstract via email to asiax@ikm.org.my. The deadline for abstracts submission is the same as Asianalysis X, i.e. June 30th, 2009.
