British High Commission Malaysia has provided Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) with four (4) travel grants to enable four IKM members to participate in the Medicinal Chemistry Symposium jointly organised by the Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) as a special symposium of the 13th Asian Chemical Congress (13ACC) which will be held in the Shanghai International Convention Centre, Shanghai, China from September 14-16, 2009.

Each grant is worth about RM2,750 and will be used to pay air travel and accommodation. IKM is in the process of getting the Organisers of the Symposium to waive the Registration Fee; but this is yet to be confirmed. The conditions for the Grants are that the recipients must be IKM members and has an oral or poster presentation accepted by the Organisers of the Symposium. Those interested are requested to email the IKM Secretariat their details (Ms BK Ong or Shirley) before the closing date of June 30, 2009. The result will be known by July 15, 2009
