Objective

GOOD WEIGHING PRACTICETM (GWP®) is a global weighing guideline for evaluation, operation and testing of weighing systems. It is a risk-based approach that interprets the regulations of each industry clearly and puts them into a straight forward weighing practice.

Workshop Content

Evaluation – before select the right weighing balance, user need to perform a risk base analysis to find out their requirement.
Selection – How to choose the right balance with the right specification which meet user weighing system based on risk and regulation requirements.
Installation – How to perform proper documentation (IQ, OQ, PQ). Share some do and don’t during weighing and recommend the best location for installing weighing balance.
Calibration – How to perform on-site calibration and how the data in calibration report benefit to user for setting their MPE or measurement uncertainty.
Routine test using Standard Weight – How user can make sure their weighing balance is continue perform within their tolerance. How the select the right weight and perform own routine check.
Measurement Uncertainties and Minimum Weight – How to define measurement uncertainty and calculate the lowest weight that can weigh and yet still meet the weighing confidence level.

Benjamin Kwan joined Mettler-Toledo (M) Sdn Bhd since March 2004 as Product Specialist for Laboratory Weighing and Solution division.

With 5 years experience in this weighing industry, his main role is to market and support the laboratory precision weighing product for Precision balance up to Ultra- Microbalance.

Benjamin has been trained by Mettler Toledo GmBH (Switzerland) on the Pharma Specialist Course. He has also successfully completed the GWP Consultant Course in Malaysia, on the following topics:  Risk based evaluation  Selection of weighing system based on risk and regulation requirements  Installation of weighing system  On-site calibration inclusive of IQ, OQ and PQ  Routine test using Standard Weight  Measurement Uncertainties and Minimum Weight With the above qualification, Benjamin Kwan is able to guide and benefit the user on the evaluation, selection, installation, calibration and perform routine test and application via the GOOD WEIGHING PRACTICETM (GWP®) WORKSHOP
