Responsibilities:
• Development of new XNBR latices for protective gloves.
• Preparation, design of lab experiments according to the project schedule; evaluation of analytical data of lab trials and production batches.
• Undertakes XNBR R&D projects and product development activities following the principles of innovation process at PLX. Participates in the global R&D network of PLX by regular concall/meeting and delivers weekly/monthly reports to R&D head in Marl.
• Cooperates with the production in solving process- and product problems and in optimization of the whole production process.
• Provides training to lab assistants.
• Maintains and reviews all laboratory quality procedures and work instructions which and whenever required.
• Secures PLX intellectual property in cooperation with PLX patent attorney.
• Able to perform internal auditor for Company ISO 9001 & EMS 14001.
Requirements:
• PhD in Chemistry or Polymer Chemistry.
• Emulsion polymer synthesis is highly desirable.
• Strong technical, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities is required.
• Highly motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Ability to interact with cross functional and cross regional teams.
• Proficient in using standard business software (e. g. MS-Office).
