Trainer's Biodata
Mr Chan Kee Bian

Mr Chan Kee Bian, B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry (USM, 1978), MSc (Quality Management), University of Sunderland, U.K., is presently attached to the Research & Quality Assurance Division of the Department of Chemistry Malaysia and is responsible for maintaining the Department’s Quality Systems (ISO 17025, and ISO 9002) as well as development of methods.

Mr Chan has been a government chemist at the Department of Chemistry Malaysia since 1978 and has worked in the Food, Environment, and Forensic laboratories of the Department. He has written numerous internal papers on test methods and validation, quality assurance, quality control procedures for the Department of Chemistry Malaysia. Mr Chan has published two papers in the main stream international forensic journal “Microgram” on drug analysis and preparation of reference standards.

Mr Chan is an experienced technical assessor for the Department of Standards’s SAMM/ISO 17025 and also a qualified inspector for ASCLD/LAB (American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors / Laboratory Accreditation Board).
