Malam Kimia is an annual function of Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) where menbers get together to renew acquaintance. It is also an occasion when IKM Presents various awards to different group of people.

IKM will be organising Malam Kimia 2008 at Eastin Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 17 December, 2008.

• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on Basic Statistical Methods for Chemists (BSM7) will be held on 7 - 8 July 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.(Full-House)
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on General QA/QC Procedures for Chemists (QAQC11) will be held on 21 - 22 July 2008 at IKM Professional Centre. (Full-House).
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course with hands-on on Basic Laboratory Techniques for New Chemists (BLT3) will be held on 4 - 5 August 2008 at UKM Lab, Bangi, Selangor.
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on Procedures of Method Validation & Verification (MVV12) will be held on 3 - 4 November 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on Understandng the Elements of MS ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 (ISO11) will be held on 17 - 18 November 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.
• 3 days Workshop / Short Course with hands-on on Elemental Analysis by Atomic Spectroscopy - AAS, ICP-AES (AAS3) will be held on 17 - 19 November 2008 at UKM Lab, Bangi, Selangor.
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on General QA/QC Procedures for Chemists (QAQC12) will be held on 24 - 25 November 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on Laboratory Safety Manual (LSM10) will be held on 1 - 2 December 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.
• 2 days Workshop / Short Course on Measurement Uncertainty in Chemical Analysis (MU8) will be held on 15 - 16 December 2008 at IKM Professional Centre.
