LabAsia 2011, the third Malaysian Laboratory Equipment, Instrumentation and Services Exhibition, was held from September 27-29, 2011 in the Putra World Trade, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Organised by Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM) with the support of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), LabAsia 2011 was managed by ECMI S.E.A. Trade Fairs Sdn Bhd.

LabAsia 2011 is the biggest Laboratory Exhibition in Southeast Asia with an exhibition space of more than 2,000 meter square. With more than 150 companies representing 450 international brands from 34 countries, it also included 4 Pavilions from Germany, China, India and Singapore. A total of 26 technical lectures covering the latest development in laboratory equipment and technology, and analytical techniques were also presented for the visitors.
LabAsia 2011 was launched by the Honourable Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili, on September 27, 2011. The Honourable Minister also took time to visit the various exhibits in LabAsia 2011.
In conjunction with LabAsia 2011, IKM also organized the following three parallel international conferences at the same venue:

Close to ten thousand visitors representing researchers and laboratory professionals from universities, R&D institutions, commercial and manufacturing laboratories, and the service sector, visited LabAsia 2011. It received good feedbacks and response from both the exhibitors and the visitors.
